End the days where you're busy but going nowhere.

You check off to-dos, but never feel like you moved forward

Completions don't add up — just a lingering sense of standstill

Even after a hard day, you can't recall what actually progressed

Each thing you finish feels like real progress

Doing and reflecting make your progress add up

The more you keep at it, the more momentum you feel

This isn't just a tool for clearing tasks.

It's a place to build a real sense of progress — and keep your days going.

Don't just clear tasks.

Most task managers optimize for getting things off your plate. Canvas Tasks is built for what comes after — the feeling of real progress.

From idea to done, in one flow

Typical tools: Only finished tasks live here — your sparks go to another app
Canvas Tasks: Spark → Inbox → Draft Board → Tasks → Done, never broken apart

You keep your ideas and start them naturally

Pick what fits the state you're in

Typical tools: Every task sits in one flat list — you work out what to start on your own
Canvas Tasks: Filter by Energy (High/Medium/Low) and Nature (Creative/Thinking/Work)

Even on a low day, you can find something you're able to start

The work you do leaves a real sense of progress

Typical tools: Check it off and you're done — the sense of achievement just fades
Canvas Tasks: Focus to do the work, then see it in your reflections — momentum builds

Stay out of the stagnation trap and keep going naturally

Don't toss that spark — turn it into a task.

Capture fleeting thoughts instantly — and turn what you capture straight into tasks

Inbox

Jot it down instantly. Organize with tags and convert to tasks when ready

Draft Board

Arrange ideas freely on an infinite canvas. Group and convert them into tasks

Build out today and what's ahead.

Visualize your day's flow and goals to make steady progress

Today

See today's tasks at a glance. Keep time-of-day routines and shopping lists here too, and wrap up the day with completions and reflections

Weekly & Monthly Goals

Set goals and track progress. Reflect to carry momentum into the next period

Calendar

Get a bird's-eye view of your schedule, deadlines, and events

Focus, and finish one thing at a time.

Organize in the way that works for you, then zero in on the task in front of you

Tasks

Organize on a board by phase, date, energy, or category — whatever fits you. See it as a two-axis matrix too, and manage it all with drag and drop. Bundle anything too big for a single task into Projects (Pro) to track progress and stalls

Focus

Zero in on one task at a time with a Pomodoro timer. Work through a queue in your “Today” order and capture interruptions to your inbox (full version with breaks & time tracking are Pro features)

See the proof of staying with it.

Reflect on what you've built up day by day, and carry it into your next step

Dashboard (reports)

Pro

Reflect on completion trends and your mood and nature balance in charts. The more you keep at it, the more your progress adds up

Frequently asked questions

What is Canvas Tasks?

Canvas Tasks is a task manager that covers everything from capturing raw ideas to planning your day, focusing on one task, and reflecting on what you did. It includes Inbox, Draft Board, Today, Goals, Calendar, Tasks, Focus, and Dashboard, plus Projects (Pro) for anything too big to be a single task.

How is it different from other task managers?

Unlike tools that only handle already-organized tasks, Canvas Tasks starts from the idea stage and lets you pick work by Energy (High/Medium/Low) and Nature (Creative/Thinking/Work). Anything you're not ready to start can sit in Incubate instead of being deleted.

Is it free? What does Pro add?

A free plan covers the core features. Pro adds weekly/monthly calendar views with external iCal sync, Pomodoro break features in Focus, and activity reports.

What platforms are supported?

Canvas Tasks is a web app that runs in modern desktop and mobile browsers, and can be installed to your home screen as a PWA.

Does it support Japanese and English?

Yes. Japanese and English are supported — shown based on your settings or browser language, and switchable anytime in the app settings.

Is my data handled securely?

Sign-in is handled via Firebase Authentication with server-side token verification, and sensitive data such as external calendar URLs is stored encrypted.

Start today — make your days about real progress, not just busywork.
